Jewellery care

Seed beads are small, bright and a little delicate. A few easy habits keep your pieces looking the way they did the day they arrived.

Keep it dry

Take your jewellery off before you swim, shower, bathe or work out. Water and sweat are hard on beadwork and chains.

Put it on last

Perfume, lotion, hair spray and hand sanitiser can dull beads and chains. Let them dry, then put your jewellery on.

Take it off at night

Sleeping in a necklace or bracelet pulls on the thread and the clasp. Give it a rest on the bedside table instead.

Store it flat

Keep each piece flat in its own pouch or box. Chains won't tangle, and the beadwork won't get crushed or bent.

Clean it gently

If a piece needs a freshen-up, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Skip polishes and cleaning liquids.
